Ottawa artist donates painting for silent auction benefitting Ottawa Community Thrift

Ottawa artist Margie Paints is donating a painting for a silent auction that will benefit Ottawa Community Thrift’s community mission.

The highest bidder will get their choice from the 10 paintings Margie has on display at the thrift store.

Funds raised will go toward creating a community center where Ottawa Community Thrift will host mental health support groups, nutrition and wellness classes, as well as art therapy classes.

Margie also will be painting live and passing out free balloon animals from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, May 21, in front of Ottawa Community Thrift at 226 W. Madison St. for Ottawa’s Third Friday Market.

Bids are being accepted until the end of the market.
