Livingston County Sheriff’s Office seeks info on armed robbery in Odell

Suspect demanded money from cash register at Fast Stop Gas Station

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Police is looking for assistance from the public.

At about 2:22 p.m. Saturday, Livingston County Sheriff’s Police responded to the Fast Stop Gas Station in Odell, in the 200 block of East Vermillion St., for a report of an armed robbery.

The employee told police the white man that robbed the gas station was about 45-55 years of age and 5 foot, 8 inches to 5 foot, 10 inches tall with a slender build. The suspect was wearing blue jeans, green khaki T-shirt and tan ball cap at the time of the armed robbery. The subject demanded money from the cash register with a yellow handle, which was recovered on scene.

At this time the Livingston County Sheriff’s Police is asking if you were in the area of the Fast Stop Gas Station in Odell at the time of the robbery and noticed any suspicious subjects or vehicle contact the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office with your information at 815-844-2774.

Saturday’s armed robbery is the second robbery reported this month in Odell. A former Sheridan Correctional Center inmate who is out on parole is wanted in connection to an Odell bank robbery that occurred April 9.
