10 communities in NCICG area land grants

A total of $5,392,889 awarded for public infrastructure projects

Ten area communities were assisted by the North Central Illinois Council of Governments in obtaining $5,392,889 in Community Development Block Grants funds for public infrastructure projects. These funds are coming from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

The Village of Buda was awarded a $550,000 grant towards a $560,000 construction project for water distribution system improvements.

The Village of Ladd was awarded a $550,000 grant towards a $989,392 construction project of water main replacement and hydrants.

The Village of Sheffield was awarded a $550,000 grant towards a $575,000 construction project of a new lift station, force main and excess flow storage.

The Village of Wyanet was awarded a $550,000 grant towards a $560,000 construction project for sanitary sewer lining.

The Village of Braceville was awarded a $454,165 grant towards a $464,165 construction project of stormwater improvements.

The Village of Verona was awarded a $550,000 grant towards a $560,000 storm sewer construction project.

The City of Marseilles was awarded a $538,724 grant towards a $570,022 sanitary sewer replacement and lining construction project.

The City of Ottawa was awarded a $550,000 grant towards a $787,215 sewer separation construction project to separate storm sewer flow from the sanitary/combined sewer system.

The City of Toluca was awarded a $550,000 grant for a $585,750 construction project of rehabilitating and lining sanitary sewers.

The City of Wenona was awarded a $550,000 grant for a $560,000 sanitary sewer replacement construction project.
