Date set for Ottawa Uncorked June 5 and 6 on Jordan block

More details will be released on event with new name, new organizers

Ottawa will host its 10th annual wine and music festival, but it won’t be called the 2 Rivers Wine and Jazz Fest.

It’s been renamed Ottawa Uncorked, and it’s being conducted June 5-6 at the Jordan block by Floret Events, the Illinois Grape Growers and Vintners Alliance and Ottawa Noon Rotary.

Floret worked with the city of Ottawa on its Chris Kringle Market in December.

Floret posted on its Facebook page Wednesday it is accepting applications for market vendors.

The Illinois Grape Growers and Vintners Alliance hosts the annual Vintage Illinois Wine Festival at Matthiessen State Park and had partnered with the city of Ottawa up until 2018.

Lou Dog Events LLC, the organization behind the 2 Rivers Wine and Jazz Fest went out of business during the pandemic after having to cancel all of its events throughout the state.

Representatives from Floret said they will have more updates on the June event soon.
