Lanes will be closed at La Salle and West Main streets in Ottawa

Contractors will have the center and east lanes in the 600 block of La Salle Street in Ottawa closed to all traffic through Veterans Memorial Bridge starting at 6 a.m. Thursday.

This is to allow contractors to work on emergency sewer repairs. Only the west lane will remain open, and no La Salle Street traffic will be allowed to turn east onto the 100 block of West Main Street.

The 100 block of West Main Street also will be closed to traffic from La Salle Street east to Court Street.

The closures are expected to last 24 hours per day from Thursday through Saturday. Drivers are reminded to use extreme caution when traveling in the area and to be prepared for time delays.
