Illinois Valley Community College’s agriculture program is offering an introductory course in its cannabis production certificate starting Jan. 15.
The class will meet live online from 10 to 10:50 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday with instructor Kathryn Seebruck.
The course will cover cannabis production, anatomy and physiology of the plant, hemp and marijuana production methods and the various uses for hemp and marijuana. Legal issues and economics also will be covered in the course, along with professional opportunities within the industry.
The two-semester cannabis certificate started in August 2020.
