Anyone looking to get rid of a real Christmas tree will be able to do so Monday, Jan. 31, at Riordan Pool, 500 E. Norris Dr., Ottawa.

Commissioner Marla Pearson asks those looking to get rid of a tree ensure there are no ornaments or lights left on it.

Trees will be put through a grinder, so it’s important to have them be completely void of any extra items.
