A 45-year-old Ottawa man was charged with aggravated identity theft after police said multiple credit cards were opened using a victim’s personal identification.
Timothy M. Rodrick was sent a notice to appear in court May 6 for the offense.
The charge was elevated to aggravated identity theft because the victim was older than 60.
On March 18, an elderly resident alerted Ottawa police they were the victim of a fraud. The victim reported a credit card being opened and used in their name.
