Arrests pending in La Salle, Peru, Spring Valley area counterfeit ring

La Salle police said arrests are pending in a counterfeit ring detected at 3:40 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14 at various locations.

Three individuals, two women and a man from the Decatur area, are under investigation after counterfeit notes were circulated throughout La Salle, Peru and Spring Valley, police said.

The three city police departments and the state’s attorney’s offices of La Salle and Bureau counties all are investigating, police said.
