Ottawa man charged with child pornography

Felony charge carries 3-7 years if convicted

An Ottawa man was charged with child pornography following a Tuesday search warrant.

Zachary P. Stolz, 29, of Ottawa, is charged with two counts of possession of child pornography, a Class 2 felony carrying 3-7 years in prison. Stolz is being held in La Salle County Jail with bond set at $150,000.

The La Salle County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, along with members of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office High Tech Crimes Bureau, executed a search warrant at the address of 1570 N. 30th Road, lot 33. The search warrant followed a criminal investigation by the sheriff’s office and the Ottawa Police Department.

The case is assigned to Chief Judge H. Chris Ryan Jr. Stolz will next appear Friday, Nov. 19, with the public defender.
