At Hinckley, the third-seeded Serena Huskers led 2-1 at halftime before scoring three times in the second half to defeat fourth-seeded Newark-Seneca 5-1 to capture the consolation championship of the 40th annual Little Ten Conference Boys Soccer Tournament on Thursday night.
Cam Figgins netted three goals and passed for an assist for Serena (13-5-1), with Carson Baker and Tanner Faivre also finding the back of the net. Ben Shugrue made 24 saves.
Angel Hernandez scored the lone goal for Newark-Seneca (8-9-2).
Sterling 5, Ottawa 0: At Sterling, the Pirates were blanked by the Golden Warriors to fall to 15-5-2 on the year.
Streator 4, Morris 1: At Morris, the Bulldogs improved to 14-6 on the season with a three-goal win on the road.
Coal City 6, Sandwich 0: At Coal City, the Indians (0-19-1) fell to the Coalers despite 14 saves from Johnathon Carlson.

Woodland def. Dwight, 25-5, 25-14: At Dwight, the Warriors rolled to the two-set Tri-County Conference win road over the Trojans to improve to 15-8 overall and 5-3 in league play on the year. Woodland was led by Jena Easton (eight assists, 15 serving points, three aces), Clara Downey (four kills, nine points, three aces), Ella Sibert (six kills, a block) and Lexi Struble (five digs).
Seneca def. Roanoke-Benson, 23-25, 25-12, 25-14: At Roanoke, the Fighting Irish brushed off a first-set loss to the Rockets (16-3, 5-1) and claimed the final two sets to improve to 14-5 overall and 6-1 in the TCC. Zoe Hougas and Emma Smith had huge nights at the net for Seneca, with the former pounding down 18 kills and the latter posting 12 winning swings.
Morris def. Ottawa, 25-8, 25-16: At Morris, the Pirates (8-17, 2-8) dropped the Interstate Eight Conference match in straight sets.
Coal City def. Streator, 29-27, 25-21: At Coal City, the Bulldogs dropped the Illinois Central Eight Conference match to the Coalers. Streator was led by Mallory Goerne (nine kills), Hannah Rambo (four kills), Alexa Jacobs (three kills, a block), Rilee Talty (13 digs, two aces) and Abby Bedecker (two kills, nine assists).
Kaneland def. Sandwich, 25-10, 25-11: At Maple Park, the Indians dropped to 11-15 overall and 3-8 in Interstate Eight Conference action with the loss to the Knights. Alexis Sexton had three digs and five assists for Sandwich, while Audrey Rome had two kills and two digs, and Claire Allen three kills and two digs.
