At Bader Gym, the host Marquette Crusaders won a three-set showdown with Indian Creek, 25-19, 19-25, 25-17.
Leading Marquette were Kaylee Killelea (25 assists), Lindsey Kaufman (five kills, four aces, seven digs), Eva McCallum (nine kills, three blocks), Lauren Machetta (six digs), Mary Lechtenberg (three kills, four blocks), Makayla Backos (four kills) and Lilly Craig (four kills).
Marquette has a key Tri-County Conference visit to Seneca scheduled for Tuesday.
Serena def. Streator, 25-16, 25-22: At Serena, the host Huskers scored the victory.
Leading Streator were Hannah Rambo (five kills, two aces), Ellie Isermann (four kills, six assists), Mallory Goerne (three kills) and Alexa Jacobs (three kills).
Sandwich def. Rochelle, 25-11, 25-21: In Interstate 8 Conference play, the Indians (9-7) were led to victory by Audrey Rome (seven kills), Claire Allen (eight kills, two blocks), Alana Stahl (five kills) and Alexis Sexton (19 assists, five digs).
Pontiac def. Flanagan-Cornell, 25-21, 25-15: The Falcons (7-10) were topped despite Kayynne Kindermann’s 17 digs, Reagan Montello’s five assists and three aces, Grace Zimmerman’s three kills and a six-kill, five-assist night from Kortney Harms.
Woodland def. Ridgeview in 2 sets: On Monday, the Warriors (10-4) beat their old Midstate Conference rival led by Lexi Struble (four digs), Jena Easton (five assists, two aces), Ella Sibery (four kills), Clara Downey (five kills) and Emma Highland (two aces).
Irish compete at Pontiac Invite: At Wolf Creek, Seneca received a ninth-place round of 93 from Laura Yegge backed by Addison Stiegler’s 105.
La Salle-Peru 215, Earlville 221, Sandwich 237: At Edgebrook, the Indians lost both sides of a triangular despite Alijah Campbell’s medalist-winning 47. Melody Goldstein added a 60 and Jayden Baumbach a 63.
On Saturday, the Indians shot a 453 to finish fifth in the Stillman Valley Invitational’s Small Division, led by Alijah Campbell’s fourth-place 91.
Dwight 193, Woodland 207, St. Anne 216: At Dwight Country Club, the Warriors fell to the hosts but defeated St. Anne led by Glen Ruff’s medalist-winning 43. Carter Ruff (48), Sam Schmitz (55) and Kyle Bliss (62) rounded out the Woodland scorecard.
Seneca 178, Henry-Sen. 214: At Morris Country Club, the Irish (11-0, 2-0 TCC) remained unbeaten, led by medalist Noah Cade’s 41. Noah Quigley (44), Owen Quigley (46) and Kaleb Powell (47) completed Seneca’s team score.
Pirates 4th among 18 in Metamora: On Saturday, Ottawa shot a team 318 to place fourth at the Metamora Invitational. Drake Kaufman (68) was the day’s medalist, followed by Jonathan Cooper (77), Alex Billings (85), Drake Stoudt (88) and Seth Cooper (88).
Earlville 8, DePue-Hall 2: At Spring Valley, the visiting Red Raiders received a hat trick plus an assist courtesy of Griffin Cook. Diego Vazquez added two goals and two assists, with Bryar Keller contributing two goals and an assist of his own.
Kaneland 9, Sandwich 0: Jaime Serrano, Alex White and keeper Johnathan Carlson (16 saves) led the effort for the Indians (0-8 overall, 0-5 in the I-8).

Corsairs 4th at Red and White Invite: On Saturday, Ottawa placed fourth at its Red and White Invite, led by a second-place finish at No. 2 singles by Layne Krug and a third from the No. 1 doubles team of Mike Moreland and Aubrey Sanders. Fourths came courtesy of McKenzie Eichelkrout at No. 1 singles as well as Lexi Innis and Gabby Cooper at No. 2 doubles.
Bulldog Spikers runners-up at Sycamore: On Saturday, Streator (6-6) placed second at the Sycamore Invitational, defeating South Elgin, West Chicago and Glenbard West before falling to the host Spartans in the championship match. Emma Rambo (38 assists, 13 kills, five aces), Rilee Talty (28 digs, four aces), Sophia Pence (15 kills, six aces), Lysi Villalobos (11 kills) and Mya Zavada (nine kills, six aces) led Streator on the day.
Streator’s sophs then beat Serena, 25-16, 25-8, on Monday, paced by Rambo (14 assists), Villalobos (five kills), Pence (seven kills, five digs), Zavada (six aces) and Zuzu Gonzalez (four kills).
Marquette def. Indian Creek in 2 sets: Leading Marquette were Maggie Jewett (seven kills), Avery Durdan (three kills), Meara Jimenez (three aces, 14 assists), Maisie Lyons (five digs) and Kealey Rick and Emma Rinearson (two aces each).

Corsairs 7th in own Ottawa Invite: On Monday, the Ottawa JV Invitational hosts placed seventh and Streator sixth of eight teams. The Corsairs’ top scorer was Trennon Kammerer (88).
La Salle-Peru 28, Ottawa 14: At La Salle on Friday, the Corsairs were doubled up by their archrivals despite 97 yards rushing and 20 more passing from Trenton Averkamp, who ran for both Ottawa touchdowns.
Marquette def. Indian Creek in 2 sets: Kealey Rick had 19 assists and added six aces and three kills, Maggie Jewett tallied six kills, and both Payton Anderson and Avery Durdan notched five kills for Marquette.
Serena def. Streator 25-15, 25-14: Mando Wyatt and Leah Krone each served three aces for the Bullpup Spikers, with Lillie Hansen delivering two kills.
