A 63-year-old Serena woman was taken to OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center with injuries following a three-vehicle crash Friday on U.S. 52 and East 2351st Road in Serena Township.

According to La Salle County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Thomas S. Annerino, 47, of Aurora, was at the southbound stop sign on East 2351st Road when he pulled out in front of a vehicle driven by Phyllis J. Wolfe, 63, of Serena, who was traveling eastbound on U.S. 52 striking Annerino’s vehicle.

Deputies said Annerino’s vehicle then spun out of control, striking Gerald E. Clancy, 59, of Newark, who was stopped at the northbound stop sign on East 2351st Road and U.S. 52.

Annerino and Clancy refused treatment at the scene, deputies said. Sheridan ambulance and Serena first responders treated Wolfe and transported her to OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa with injuries.

The La Salle County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
