Glenbard Parent Series expert to share college admissions tips online

The Glenbard Parent Series: Navigating Healthy Families will present “Who Gets In & Why: A Year Inside College Admissions” at 7 p.m. Oct. 6 via Zoom.

Drawing on research from two years inside the admissions process, including sitting beside application readers at three selective schools, this webinar with Jeff Selingo will help students, families and school staff better understand the shifting landscape and what it takes to get into a top college.

Selingo will share insight on why admissions are focused on a college’s priorities and the shaping of an admissions class. He will explain how to approach the college search so a student has the best academic, social and financial fit in a campus.

Selingo is the author of New York Times bestsellers, “College (Un)Bound” and “There Is Life After College.” He provides insight and advice to students, families, educators and academic leaders about the inner workings of colleges and universities and what’s next for higher education. His third book, “Who Gets In & Why: A Year Inside College Admissions,” was released in 2020.
