Lyons Township High School Theatre Board to present improv comedy show

WESTERN SPRINGS – The Lyons Township High School Theatre Board announces the 13th annual Improv Comedy Showcase, “So (adjective) You’ll (verb) 13: A Baker’s (noun),” unfolding Sept. 23-25.

Lyons Township High School faculty member Mike Kuehl is the director of this year’s evening of improv comedy. The event features high-stakes, competitive improvisational comedy, a news release stated. Two teams battle it out for the audience’s laughs and groans by participating in various improv games. Featuring both short-form and long-form improvisation, the show can go from playfully funny to painfully funny at the drop of a hat.

Performances begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with a special homecoming week presentation Sept. 28. All take place in the South Campus Performing Arts Center, 4900 S. Willow Springs Road, Western Springs. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $5 for children and senior citizens and are free for LTHS students with ID.

Tickets may be purchased at the box office before the show. The theater opens 30 minutes before the event begins. The performances start promptly, and latecomers will be seated between segments.

Masking is required inside the school.
