High school sports roundup for Wednesday, Sept. 22: Ava Novak leads Benet volleyball past previously unbeaten St. Viator

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Benet d. St. Viator 25-22, 25-16

Sophomore Ava Novak had 11 kills, and the Redwings (15-3, 3-0) beat previously undefeated St. Viator. Benet had 28 kills and 44 digs as a team.

BOYS SOCCER

East Aurora 3, Glenbard East 1

Daniel Soja scored the Rams’ lone goal, assisted by Edgar Duenas.

Benet 4, Marian Catholic 0

TJ McVey, John Kolb, Sam Barbeau and Brendan Forsythe all scored goals for Benet (7-3, 5-0).
