The DuPage County Health Department on Friday reported 126 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 in the county, with 3 deaths: 1 man in his 60s, 1 woman in her 80s and 1 woman in her 90s.
The county now has seen a total of 71,100 coronavirus cases including 1,175 deaths, according to the health department. The recovery rate among DuPage County cases as of Feb. 9 was 98.2%.
DuPage County has administered 147,829 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. A total of 39,550 people, or 4.26% of the population, have been fully vaccinated.
The West Suburban region (DuPage and Kane counties) has seen 18 consecutive days at or under 6.5%. The region’s positivity rate stayed the same at 4.3%. Currently, 31% of ICU beds are available.
The region has 68 consecutive days over the 20% threshold for ICU bed availability.
Within this region, Kane County’s seven-day positivity average is at 4.5% and DuPage County is at 4.2%.
Hospitalizations have decreased or remained stable for 10 out of the last 10 days in this region.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,219 new confirmed and probable cases of COVID-19 and 63 additional deaths Friday, and a total of 2,060,706 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
By town, Wheaton has had 3,809 total cases, Glen Ellyn 2,715, Lombard 3,729, Villa Park 2,225, Hinsdale 1,166, Westmont 1,800, Darien 1,483, Woodridge 2,210, Downers Grove 3,416, Elmhurst 3,649, Warrenville 1,111 and Winfield 922. Addison has had 4,318 confirmed cases, Naperville 6,161, Carol Stream 3,804 and West Chicago 3,877.
