1. The Godley Park District is hosting an indoor Winter Carnival from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday in the gymnasium of the main community building in the park. “Join us for some carnival fun. 2.The Forest Preserve District of Will County will host a Winter Waterfowl Hike from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at McKinley Woods – Kerry Sheridan Grove in Channahon. “Discover winter bird visitors that are staying “toasty” in the Des Plaines River,” the forest preserve said. 3. Head to True North for their 33-hour shopping event. The store will open at 10 a.m. on Saturday and close Sunday at 7 p.m. Home to over 125 midwest vendors and 10,000-square- feet, there is truly something for everyone. 4. The 252 is hosting its first ever Rock by the River from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in Seneca. The 252 is located at mile marker 252 right on the Illinois River at Spring Brook Marina. “Stop out the last weekend of every month for live music, beautiful views, drink specials, and a delicious meal,” the 252 said.
