Tesdal currently holds board positions on the Grundy County Housing Authority Board and is a Trustee for the Erienna Township.

Tesdal also enjoyed volunteering with organizations such as We Care, Grundy County Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Grundy County Housing Authority, Community Nutrition Network, United Way, Grundy County Corn Festival, Farm Fair, 4-H, FFA and Morris Lions Club.

“The culture at Grundy Bank is what I love the most, all decisions are made right here” Tesdal said.

Tesdal embraces the community and loves the community banking environment. He looks forward to sharing advice, helping the community and helping others along the way.

“I want to take my bank experiences and share them with Grundy Bank clients and the community,” Tesdal said.

Every day you learn something new being a banker, and Tesdal couldn’t be more excited to continue to make those professional relationships here at Grundy Bank and continue to do so in the community.

“It’s nice to see people at their desks with smiles on their faces – this is community banking,” Tesdal said.

Tesdal was named the 2009 Philanthropist of the Year by the South West Suburban Philanthropic Network. Also in 2009, Tom and his wife, Cheryl, were also featured in the “Hometown Heroes” section of the The Herald-News.

“The banking world allows us to get involved with people of the community we might not normally meet; Grundy Bank is giving me the opportunity to continue to meet people and give back to the Morris community,” Tesdal said.

“Grundy Bank looks forward to working with Tom and helping him create more memories and relationships along the way,” Olson said.
