Junk in the Trunk announces 2021 schedule

Event will take place third Sunday of each month from May to October

MORRIS – The Junk In The Trunk community sale, which has been in operation since 2009, will kick off this year on May 16 and take place the third Sunday of each month through October‚ weather permitting, at 100 Commercial Drive in Morris.

This paved lot location is just west of Route 47, behind the BP Amoco station. There will be a sign at the Route 47 entrance to Commercial Drive. Setup time is 8:30 a.m., and the sale runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Junk in the Trunk sale is a community event that raises money for charities in and around the Morris area.

Donations and vendor fees of $20 per spot are given to a different charity each month. Participants will need to read and agree with the rules pertaining to attending the event before participating.

This is a fun, family-oriented event where many treasures are found. This is a good place to find that special antique, gift, toy, decoration, art piece, collectable or tool. No items that are mass-produced or made at a commercial or home-based business are allowed at this sale.

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, attendees should maintain at least a 6 feet of distance from one another and use hand sanitizer frequently. Masks are required. All who attend are responsible for their own cleanup.
