Minooka Elite basketball has strong season

Group of seventh graders goes 14-8

Minooka Elite concluded its season last weekend by winning a one-day shootout in Indiana. It was the team’s fourth tournament championship of the season. The team finished with an overall record of 14-8 and was able to move up in competition early on by going on an eight-game winning streak. The Minooka Elite was able to rebound from a couple of defeats in early December to finish strong.

The team includes seventh graders from Minooka and Channahon. Team members are Rhett Harris. Brady Hairald, Nathan Gonzalez, Seth Fleming, Josh Loizen, Zane Caves, Drew Szambalen and Adam Cook.
