National Museum of the American Sailor to host Pearl Harbor program

‘80 Years of Infamy’ event to honor the fallen, hear stories of those who were there

The Sterling American Legion will present a short program at 11 a.m. Dec. 6 at  to commemorate the Dec. 7, 1941attack on Pearl Harbor, which marked the beginning of U.S. involvement in WWII. This photograph of the attack was published in the Telegraph on Dec. 11 and 12, 1941.

GREAT LAKES – Discover sailor history during “80 Years of Infamy: Pearl Harbor Commemoration” at the National Museum of the American Sailor.

The event will take place at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 7 at the National Museum of the American Soldier, 2531 Sheridan Road, Great Lakes.

Honor Pearl Harbor’s fallen at this special event. Discover the stories of those who were there as told by their descendants. Capt. Jason Williamson, commanding officer of Naval Station Great Lakes, will be the guest speaker.

Military attendees must wear their dress blues to the event.
