On-site jail video visitation resumes

COVID-19 precautions remain in place, so wait times could be longer than normal

WAUKEGAN – The Lake County Jail resumed on-site visitation May 3.

Sufficient space will be left between visiting stations to ensure proper social distancing, a news release stated.

Hand sanitizer and cleaning supplies will be available to those entering to visit with an inmate. Face coverings are required at all times when entering the facility.

Because of the reduced number of stations available to ensure proper social distancing, wait times to use a machine on-site could be longer than normal.

Off-site video visitation remains available for a fee as an option for anyone who does not wish to use the on-site visitation stations. Anyone wishing to conduct off-site video visitation should visit www.videovisitanywhere.com/.
