Lovell Federal Health Care Center to hold next patient tele-town hall Feb. 23

Among topics to be discussed will be COVID-19 vaccinations for Lovell FHCC outpatients

NORTH CHICAGO – The Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center will host a Community Tele-Town Hall at 2 p.m. Feb. 23.

The town hall is an opportunity to get the latest COVID-19 updates, including COVID-19 vaccination information. Participants can learn about FHCC health care and other services and ask questions. Lovell FHCC Director Dr. Robert Buckley and Deputy Director/Commanding Officer Capt. Thomas Nelson will be in attendance.

The tele-town hall is done in a radio talk show format. Participants receive an automated call before the start of the town hall asking them to join. Participants may provide a question to a screener and are placed in the queue to potentially ask their question in front of the live audience. Participants who aren’t called on and/or can’t listen to the entire call may leave voicemails with their questions. All questions left on voicemail will be answered.

FHCC patients will receive an automated call the day before the event, and immediately before the start of the tele-town hall, inviting them to participate. Others who would like to participate can do so by sending their phone numbers to FHCC.Feedback@va.gov by 5 p.m. Feb. 19.
