Northwestern Medicine opens new Gurnee Comprehensive Health Center

Site offers variety of services, including family medicine, immediate care

GURNEE – Northwestern Medicine is now offering comprehensive health services in Gurnee.

Patient services offered include family medicine, sports medicine, allergy and immunology, radiology and immediate care. The location also will have an on-site lab.

Family medicine physicians offer diagnosis and treatment for everything from the common cold to chronic illnesses, in addition to routine screenings, annual checkups and other preventive medicine services.

Care is provided by physicians who are part of Northwestern Medical Group and who serve on the medical staff of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and/or Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital.

The immediate care center offers extended hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week. The Gurnee location is staffed by licensed physicians who are trained to evaluate and treat medical conditions in both adult and pediatric patients – minor illnesses, minor accidents and skin conditions. The center also offers vaccinations, X-rays, lab orders and tests.

“We are looking forward to serving Gurnee and the surrounding communities, providing patients with high quality, compassionate care, close to where they live and work,” said Richard Clark, a family medicine physician and Northwestern Medicine Gurnee medical director. “In addition to our team of family medicine physicians, an allergist and a nurse practitioner, our immediate care center offers an easy-to-access alternative to waiting in an emergency room for patients who have a minor health issue and need to see a health care provider quickly. Our on-site imaging center provides easy in and out access to X-rays, CT and MRI scans, mammograms and bone density testing.”

The center is at 6155 Grand Ave., just off Interstate 294.
