Golf outing offers opportunity to network, enjoy the great outdoors

With the warm weather the golfers are out in force and the Oswego Area Chamber has been planning our Annual Golf outing.

A day on the green may be just what you need to relax this summer and do some networking while playing golf.

This year’s Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Golf Outing is set for 11 am – 8 pm. Thursday, July 29th, at Fox Bend Golf Course, 3516 Route 34, Oswego. Lunch & Dinner are included.

In its 32nd year, the event “isn’t just about golf,” Oswego Area Chamber of Commerce President Angie Hibben said.

“It is about networking with other Chamber business owners and supporting the chamber. Some of our members bring customers as a thank you. It’s a great day,” she said.

The outing is one of several hosted by the Chamber annually to promote member businesses to the community and surrounding areas.

“This event allows business owners to network with other business owners while golfing, while waiting their turn to tee off, and during dinner,” Hibben said. “It also gives local members the opportunity to promote their business at a hole or with a giveaway to each golfer.”

Mark your calendars for these Annual Events back for 2021: August 21st is the Annual Spirits on the Farm event (back after a one year hiatus due to COVID) and this year being hosted at the Kendall County Fairgrounds. This new venue gives us the opportunity to move everything inside in case of inclement weather. Watch for more details to come concerning this event.

Also mark your calendars for the 11th Annual Fraidycat 5k, Ghost Run 8k & Meow Mile to again be hosted at Prairie Point School on Grove Rd. This new route offers less street running and a safer course utilizing the bike/walking paths in Oswego. Registration will open soon for this annual event.
