DUI arrest on Route 30 at Route 31
Montgomery police arrested Giselle Torres, 18, of the 700 block of Redwood Drive, Aurora, after stopping the vehicle she was driving west in the eastbound lane on Route 30 at Route 31 at 1:31 a.m. July 25. Police said Torres was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and improper lane use.
Retal theft, obstructing arrest
Montgomery police arrested Sonia Herrera, 42, of the 300 block of South Harrison Avenue, Aurora, at 3:51 p.m. July 24 at a store in the 2000 block of Orchard Road. Police said officers were told the suspect attempted to leave the store without paying for more than $300 worth of merchandise in her cart. In addition, when questioned, police said Herrera provided officers with a false name. She was taken into custody and charged with retail theft and obstructing identification.
