Following too close

Yorkville police cited Dashaun Hits, 49, of the 2800 block of 130th Street, Chicago, for following too close after responding to a traffic accident at 6:29 p.m. July 20 in the area of Route 47 and Galena Road. No injuries were reported.

No valid license

Yorkville police cited Martin Valencia Cruz, 22, of the 3000 block of Hoffman Street, Plano, for driving without a valid license after conducting a traffic stop at 8:56 a.m. July 22 in the area of Countryside Parkway. Cruz was released at the scene on his own recognizance.

DUI

Yorkville police arrested Bernardo A. Camacho-Aguilar, 22, of the 200 block of South Spencer Street, Aurora, on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a valid license after responding to a single-vehicle accident at 12:56 a.m., July 24 in the area of McHugh Road and Marketplace Drive. No injuries were reported. Camacho-Aguilar was additionally cited for improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol.

Failure to reduce speed

Yorkville police cited a juvenile driver for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and no mandatory insurance after responding to a traffic accident at 7:28 a.m. July 24 in the area of Route 34 and East Countryside Parkway. No injuries were reported.

Domestic battery

Yorkville police arrested Xavier A. Porter, 30, of the 200 block of Monroe Street, Oswego, on charges of domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic battery after responding to a 911 hang-up call at 12:52 a.m. July 25 in the 300 block of Evans Court. Upon arrival and investigation, officers determined that a domestic battery had occurred, and the victim signed complaints against Porter. Porter was taken into custody and transported to the Kendall County Jail to await a bond call.
