Domestic battery arrest

Oswego police arrested Anastasia K. Raahague, 30, of the 200 block of Devoe Drive, Oswego, at 2:51 a.m. July 11 on a charge of domestic battery at her residence. Police said Raahague was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville, where she later posted bond and was released pending court proceedings.

DUI arrest on Route 34

Oswego police arrested Vanessa B. Hakiza, 28, of the 12000 block of Bradford Lane, Plainfield, after stopping the vehicle she was driving at 12:11 a.m. July 10 on Route 34 at Boulder Hill Pass. Police said Hakiza was charged with driving under the influence and cited for improper lane use.

Retail theft

Oswego police arrested Shannon D. Brandt, 39, of the 500 block of Powers Court, Yorkville, at 7:04 p.m. July 10 at a store in the 2700 block of Route 34 on a charge of retail theft. Police said the suspect posted bond and was released pending an Aug. 10 court appearance. The suspect attempted to leave the store without paying for merchandise valued at $580, according to police.

Battery report

Oswego police took a report of a battery that occurred at 7:37 p.m. July 7 in the 40th block of Monroe Street. Police said a 15-year-old male victim in the incident was not hurt and no arrests were made.

Damage reported at school

Oswego police took a report of criminal damage to property at 3 a.m. July 9 at Old Post Elementary School on Old Post Road. Police said damage as a result of the incident is estimated at more than $1,000.

Aurora man injured, ticketed in Route 34 crash

Oswego police responded to a two-vehicle crash at 10:11 p.m. July 11 on Route 34 at Fifth Street. Police said the driver of one of the vehicles involved in the crash, Victor M. Gutierrez, 28, of the 900 block of Fulton Street, Aurora, was injured in the crash. Police said they cited Gutierrez for driving without a valid driver’s license, failure to reduce speed and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
