Failure to yield
Yorkville police cited a juvenile driver for failure to yield after responding to a traffic accident at 8:16 p.m. June 29 in the area of Route 47 and Greenbriar Road. The juvenile driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
No valid license
Yorkville police arrested Olivia Aguirre, 39, of the 800 block of South Union Street, Aurora, on a charge of driving without a valid license after conducting a traffic stop at 10:09 p.m. June 28 in the area of Landmark Avenue and Route 47. Aguirre was taken into custody and her vehicle was towed.
Possession of fireworks
Yorkville police cited Luna E. Perez, 18, of the 200 block of South Clifton Avenue, Elgin, for a city ordinance violation of possession of fireworks after conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle reportedly speeding at 10:35 p.m. June 30 in the area of Somonauk and North Bridge streets. Police said fireworks were spotted in plain view in the trunk area of the vehicle, a van. Upon further investigation, additional fireworks were discovered in the passenger compartment of the van. Police said Perez stated that he was the owner of the fireworks.
Warrant arrest
Yorkville police arrested Ryan Deane, 37, of the 2000 block of Bittersweet Drive, Plano, for a failure-to-appear warrant from LaSalle County on a charge of driving under the influence after responding to a reported disturbance at 6:45 p.m. July 3 in the 1300 block of Carolyn Court. Later, a male allegedly involved in the disturbance was spotted in the area and was taken into custody on the warrant in his name and was transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville.
