Sandwich business supports leukemia rally, youth

Clinton and Kendall Harris of Sandwich accepted a $3,550 donation, on behalf of the #AVASTRONG Butterfly Effect Leukemia Rally from Just In Time Heating, A/C, Plumbing & Remodeling on Nov. 5.

During October, Just In Time helped raise money for the Harris’ granddaughter Ava Louise Hawbaker by collecting a portion of certain service calls performed. The fundraising idea came from one of the employees of Just In Time, and owners Janeen and Justin Norquist enthusiastically agreed.

Some clients of Just In Time who didn’t need services performed during October but wanted to contribute to the effort made cash donations outright.

All funds raised will go directly to Ava and her family to aid in the expenses associated with her treatment and care in her battle against Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Ava was diagnosed June 27, and her chemotherapy treatment is expected to last until September 2023. The Harrises said they are grateful to all involved in this fundraising effort.
