IVVC Toys for Tots drive

The holidays are supposed to bring joy and laughter, but this year has been a struggle for a lot of families and that is exactly why Indian Valley Vocational Center (IVVC) SkillsUSA and Public Safety classes want to help restore that joy and laughter.

IVVC SkillsUSA and Public Safety classes have once again partnered with the DeKalb County Marine Corp League to host the 2021 Toys for Tots toy drive. While IVVC SkillsUSA and Public Safety have traditionally been the Toys for Tots elves and helped bring toys to the kids of Sandwich and the surrounding areas, this year IVVC will also be the new “North Pole”.

IVVC will host the three day toy distribution event for southern DeKalb County and the surrounding towns on Dec 9, 10 and 11. Hours are Dec. 9 and 10, 4 to 8 p.m., and Dec. 11, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event requires registration; unfortunately walk-ins cannot be accommodated due to COVID-19 restrictions.

To be eligible to sign up for the IVVC Toys for Tots location you must live in southern DeKalb County, or reside in one of these towns: Sandwich, Plano, Somonauk, Serena, Sheridan, Leland, Earlville, Hinckley, Big Rock, Waterman, Newark, Millington, or Millbrook.

To register for the Toys for Tots toy distribution, visit the IVVC website at ivvc.net.

IVVC will also be accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys at 600 Lions Road, Sandwich until Dec. 11.
