The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into a fatal traffic crash that occurred Wednesday, Oct. 13, at 6:32 a.m. in the 13000 block of Galena Road in unincorporated Little Rock Township.

In a statement, the sheriff’s office reported that a 33 year-old woman who was the driver of one of two vehicles involved in the head-on collision was pronounced dead at the scene.

In an online statement, the Kendall County Coroner’s Office identified the crash victim as Lindsay Blair of the 100 block of East Arnold Street, Sandwich. The coroner’s office said Blair was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 10-year-old female in Blair’s vehicle was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

The sheriff’s office said they ticketed the other driver involved in the crash, Thomas Modaff, 21, of the 700 block of Taylor Street, Sandwich, for improper lane usage, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration.

Modaff was taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

The section of Galena Road between Jones Road and Clark Road west of Route 47 was closed to traffic for several hours Wednesday morning as sheriff’s deputies, Yorkville and Plano police and the Little Rock-Fox Fire Protection District responded to the scene.
