Adult programs

Technology Open House: Saturdays, Sept 25, Oct. 23, Nov, 27, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A free, drop-in opportunity to meet with tech expert Robert Mitilieri. He’ll be here to assist with questions you may have about your computer, cell phone, tablet, or e-reader. For the best experience bring your own device with you. No registration required.

Painting with Petite Palette: Monday, Sept. 27, 6 to 8 p.m. Michelle from Petite Palette will lead the class in creating an acrylic on canvas painting called “Autumn is Calling”. Open to high school students and adults. $15 fee must be paid at time of registration.

Fused Glass Art: Monday, Oct. 18, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Create a fused glass dish to take home. Artist Kelly Browning from Arts on Fire will lead participants in this free program. Open to high school students and adults. Registration required.

Blood Drive: Tuesday, Oct. 19, 3 to 7 p.m. To schedule your donation, sign up at the library or online at versiti.org. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. Versiti will be following the latest CDC guidelines regarding masking.

Youth programs

Not So Scary Storytime: Monday, Oct. 25, 10:30 to 11 a.m. or 6:30 to 7 p.m. Join us for not so scary books, songs, and fun. For ages 0-6 with a grown up. Masks required for all adults and children 3 and older. Registration required. Call 630-552-2025 or stop by the Kids’ Library Desk to register.

Rhyme Time: Wednesdays, Oct. 13, 20, 27, Nov. 3, 10, 10:30 to 11 a.m. or 6 to 6:30 p.m. This lap sit storytime features action rhymes, finger plays, songs, movement activities, a simple story, and parent-child reading time. Active adult participation is an integral part of this program. For babies to age 3 accompanied by an adult. Masks required for all adults and children 3 and older. Registration required. Preschool Storytime: Mondays, Oct 11, 18, Nov. 1, 8, 10:30 to 11:10 a.m. Features simple stories, music, movement activities, and a simple craft. Parents must remain in the Kids’ Library during the program. For independent 3-6 year olds, without an adult. Masks required for all children 3 and older. Registration required.
