PHOTO GALLERY: Horse exhibition, speed show highlight opening of Kendall County Fair

A stormy night didn’t stop the Kendall County Fair from opening bright and early Thursday morning, July 29, at the fair grounds in Yorkville.

The fair was canceled last summer due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but has returned for a four-day run with many of the favorite spectator events.

Thursday kicked off with the popular Western horse exhibition and speed show, while 4-H showings for goats, sheep and poultry took place throughout the day.

The fair will run through Sunday, Aug. 1. More information about the fair schedule can be found on the Kendall County Fairgrounds Facebook page and website.
