Kendall County Historic Preservation hosting meeting for local historic preservation groups

The Kendall County Historic Preservation invites anyone interested in historic preservation in Kendall County to a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, at Lyon Farm, 7935 Route 71 in Yorkville.

The purpose of the meeting is to explore collaborative opportunities between historic preservation groups in Kendall County and to receive updates on the activities of local historic preservation groups coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Kendall County Historic Preservation Commission is comprised of five citizen appointees who have special knowledge or training in fields closely related to historic preservation. Commissioners serve without compensation. The Commission is a recommending body to the County Board and has powers and authorities designated to it by the County Board. The commission meets the third Monday of each month in the County Board Room of the Kendall County Administration Building, 111 W. Fox St., Yorkville.
