No injuries in fire that caused extensive damage to a Montgomery home

POSTED UPDATED AT 4:35 P.M. WEDNESDAY, JUNE 16

Sugar Grove Fire Protection District Firefighters, assisted by firefighters from other area fire districts, have extinguished a fire in a single family home on the village of Montgomery’s far west side.

According to Montgomery police, no one was hurt in the blaze.

Initial reports indicate the fire caused extensive damage to the two-story home in the 1700 block of Newport Lane in the Foxmoor subdivision, north of McDole Elementary School.

Police said in a statement they will remain on scene as firefighters continue their operations.
