Give your gardens a boost and give back to the community with the annual Kendall County Master Gardener Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15.
The sale will include native plants, vegetable transplants, and nursery-stock perennials, with shopping at the Kendall County Extension office, 7775B Route 47, Yorkville in Yorkville.
The Master Gardener volunteers started more than 600 vegetable seedlings, including 14 varieties of tomatoes and eight pepper varieties. Payments may be made by cash or check. Proceeds support the Kendall County Master Gardener program and community projects.
Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer gardening questions, and provide free presentations, including “Raising Monarch Butterflies” with Patricia Baroni of Montgomery at 9:30 a.m.
At the sale, physical distancing and face masks will be required. This event could be affected by weather or by updated guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health or University of Illinois. Updates will be available at go.illinois.edu/KendallMasterGardenerPlantSale2021.
