Oswego Police Department announces ‘Click It or Ticket’ campaign numbers

The Oswego Police Department recently announced it issued several citations during the recent Labor Day “Click It or Ticket” enforcement period.

Oswego Police Department made the following traffic enforcement actions:

  • 43 seatbelt and child safety seat citations
  • 3 distracted driver’s citations
  • 16 speeding citations
  • 1 suspended driver

Oswego Police Department enforcement dates went from Aug. 20 through Sept. 7, to get drunk and drugged drivers off our roads and encourage seat belt use. The effort featured high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities, including a media campaign.

As traffic safety partners, we do our best to make sure all drivers and other road users are safe. While enforcement campaigns like these save lives, there is still much to be done. Please help us spread the message: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.
