Boulder Hill man arrested in Yorkville road rage incident

Yorkville police arrested a Boulder Hill man in connection with a reported road rage incident earlier this week.

In a press statement issued Friday, July 23, police said William Popp, 54, of the 0-100 block of Whitney Way, has been charged with battery, assault and criminal damage to property.

Police said officers were told the suspect allegedly tossed a drink that struck the victim and caused damage to the victim’s vehicle at 1:20 p.m. July 20 on Route 34 at Autumn Creek Boulevard.

The victim signed complaints against the suspect who officers located and took into custody and transported to the county jail.

The suspect later posted bond and was released pending a court appearance, according to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.
