Lockport resident ticketed in Oswego crash

Oswego police ticketed Hala S. Shaar, 19, of the 16000 block of West Red Cloud Drive, Lockport, after the vehicle she was driving was involved in a single vehicle crash at 9:11 p.m. July 20 in the 300 block of East Washington Street at Templeton Drive.

In a press statement, police said Shaar and a passenger in her vehicle, also age 19, were not injured in the crash.

Police said Shaar was ticketed for speeding in excess of 26-34 mph over the the posted speed limit and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.

Shaar posted bond at the scene and was released pending court proceedings.
