Oswego police arrest motorcyclist on warrants following crash

Oswego police arrested Anthony J. Rummell, 30, of the 300 block of Blackhawk Street, Aurora, after the motorcycle he was driving was involved in a crash with an SUV at 1:02 a.m. May 9 on Route 30 at Wolf’s Crossing Road.

In a statement, police said Rummell was wanted on failure to appear in court warrants issued in Kendall and DuPage counties. Police said Rummell was also ticketed for driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Rummell was treated for injuries at an area hospital and then transported to the Kendall County Jail in Yorkville. County sheriff’s department records indicate he posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.

The driver of the SUV, a 62 year-old Oswego man, was not injured in the crash, police said.
