Sandwich second at Antioch Invite
Michael Marrs and Jayden Green both set school records for the Indians at Antioch.
Sandwich scored 164 points to take second place behind Antioch (175) at the eight-team Antioch Invite. Marrs ran a school record 10.84-second 100-meter dash, won the 200 in 22.31 seconds and anchored the first-place 400 relay in 44.23 seconds that also included Ian Kelson, Noah Klossing and Jayden Green. Green set a school record in the triple jump (14.45 meters) and also won the high jump (1.87 meters) and long jump (6.39 meters).
Plano 7, Somonauk 6
Christian Sloat (3-1) struck out five in four innings of shutout relief and Kevin Serio had two hits and three runs batted in for the Reapers (9-5) on Senior Day. Nick Baltierrez was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, Manny Marin 3-for-3 with a triple, two runs scored and an RBI and Mason Accidentale 3-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI for Plano, which won its third straight game.
Oswego East 10, Joliet West 8
Camden Ruby had three hits and two RBIs and Christian Battista and Jackson Lamboley each had two hits for the Wolves (4-6), which rallied to win the seesaw game with two runs in the fifth and two in the sixth.
Austin Miller got the win with four innings of relief, striking out six.
Plainfield South 4, Oswego 3
The host Cougars scored a tie-breaking run in the bottom of the fourth and went on to the Southwest Prairie Conference win. Gavin Arseneau was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored and Paxson Hejza was 2-for-3 with a double, run scored and RBI for Oswego (9-4) , which had its three-game winning streak snapped.
Plainfield Central 6, Yorkville 4
Yorkville scored all four of its runs in the third inning to take a one-run lead, but the Wildcats scored two in the fifth and added an insurance run in the sixth. Gavin Dobbels went 2-for-3 with an RBI and struck out four over four innings for the Foxes (10-5). Connor Corrigan and Cole Yearsley each had doubles.

Hunter Pavia struck out five over five innings for Sandwich (1-8).

Everett Ford had two hits for the Indians.
Plainfield Central 2, Yorkville 1
Madi Reeves struck out 11 and allowed just one earned run on five hits over six innings, but Plainfield Central kept the Foxes’ bats quiet to hand Yorkville (12-1) its first loss of the season. Kaitlyn Roberts had a double for one of the Foxes’ five hits.
Oswego 2-4, Plainfield South 0-3
Maddie Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a double and Taylor Hamaker threw a shutout for the Panthers in the first game. Abby Medernach had a double and contributed strong defense in the second game.

Ryan Fitzpatrick (152) and Michael Sturm (285) won by pin for Oswego, with Zach Sato (145) winning a decision and Andrew Johnson (160) by major decision.
