Oswego

The Panthers took fifth place at the Conant Invitational. Joey Griffin won the 152-pound title, AJ Johnson was second at 160, Aiden O’Meara third at 138, Ryan Goddard third at 120, Noel Alvarez fourth at 170, Cruz Ibarra fourth at 195, Colin Brown fifth at 132, Brayden Swanson fifth at 113, Michael Sturm sixth at 220

Yorkville

The Foxes finished in sixth with seven placers at the Barrington Tournament. Hunter Janeczko was second at 195 pounds, Ben Alvarez was third at 220 pounds, Jack Ferguson fourth at 113, Dom Coronado fifth at 126, Luke Zook at 152, Tyler Enczur seventh at 170 and Brody Williams eighth at 160.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Springfield Lanphier 88, Yorkville Christian 81

Jaden Schutt scored 31 points for the Mustangs (2-2) in the third-place game of the Tournament of Champions in Washington. David Douglas Jr. added 20 points and K.J. Vasser 18. Schutt was named the Most Outstanding Player and Vasser named to the All-Tournament team.

Yorkville 42, Belvidere 30

The Foxes won their final game in Sycamore to take third at the Strombom Tournament. LeBaron Lee and Jason Jakstys each scored 10 points and were both named to the All-Tournament team. Nate Kraus added six points while Lucas Fisher and Mike Dunn added five apiece for the Foxes (2-1).

Pekin 64, Plano 57

Mason Accidentale scored 29 points, Carion Hale 13 and Josh Padilla 10 for the Reapers.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Crete-Monee 51, Oswego 19

Anna Johnson scored six points for the Panthers at the WarHawk Tournament.
