Lions Candy Days set for Oct. 8, 9 in Sandwich

Members of the Sandwich Lions Club will join Lions Club members throughout Illinois on Friday, Oct. 8, and Saturday, Oct. 9, to observe Lions of Illinois Foundation Candy Days.

Lions will be visible near various business locations giving away candy and accepting donations in support of Lion activities and services related to sight and hearing. This annual event helps fund the services offered by the foundation such as free vision and hearing screenings. It also allows the Sandwich Lions Club to offer assistance to local residents who need help obtaining eyeglasses or hearing aids.

Watch for the Lions wearing bright yellow vests and handing out candy. They appreciate the support of the community.
