Open Roads ABATE lists pool tournament, chili cook-off winners

Open Roads ABATE of Illinois Chapter hosted its ninth annual Pool Tournament and Chili Cook-off on Saturday, Feb. 20 at Plano Hometown Lanes.

Several people participated in the pool tournament with Robbie Green winning the top spot followed by Charlie Jump taking second and John Janusz placing third. Cash prizes were awarded.

The Chili Cook-off competition had several varieties of chili entered for judging. Sharyl Mataya won with her prize-winning recipe, followed by Patti Smith and Jill Shank. Cash prizes were awarded.

The Open Roads ABATE of Illinois, Inc. The next Open Roads ABATE of Illinois Chapter meeting will be at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Plano American Legion Post #395, 510 E. Dearborn St. in Plano.
