Open Roads ABATE sponsors 2021 book run

Open Roads ABATE of IL Chapter has several events planned for the coming year. The group will be participating in group runs, dinner rides, car shows, train runs, Motorcycle Awareness Month (May), windshield-washing and going to ABATE events: the state seminar, awareness rally, Northwest Region Convergence Run and Northwest Region Chili Shootout.

During the summer, the group will sponsor a book run. The book run will consist of 60 businesses, including bike dealers, bars and grills, and places of interest, with most businesses located between Route 47 and the Mississippi River and Interstate 80 and the Wisconsin state line. The object of the book run is for participants to travel and patronize all the businesses, get the books stamped and to attend a post party Oct. 2, where the winners of the book run will be drawn.
