High school football: Week 4 results; recaps for every game

Oswego East 14, Oswego 7: Oshobi Odior scored the go-ahead touchdown with 1:43 left on a 5-yard run, Jabari Peoples knocked down a pass in the end zone in the final seconds, and the Wolves beat Oswego for the first time in the 16-year history of the crosstown rivalry. Michael Ford ran for 79 of his 84 yards in the second half and threw a 15-yard TD pass to Jackson Lamboley, and Dylan Allen intercepted two passes. Julian Toma threw a 5-yard TD pass to Nik Hampton for Oswego.

Minooka 48, Yorkville 6: Minooka quarterback Josh Davis was 13-for-17 for 170 yards and two touchdowns, and the Indians bounced back from a loss to Plainfield North with a resounding win at Yorkville. Deajeion Lewis (13 carries, 46 yards) and K’Vondre Meadows (eight carries, 38 yards) paced the Foxes.

Kaneland 26, Plano 6: Anthony Clevenger and the Kaneland defense held Plano to five first downs and 116 yards of offense in Maple Park. Plano forced three Knights’ turnovers in the first half, and trailed just 7-0 at half, but Kaneland came alive in the second half with Corey Phillips running for 140 yards. Raymond Jones’ 28-yard TD run accounted for Plano’s scoring.

Rochelle 13, Sandwich 12: Ben Harvey’s 13-yard TD run was the difference, as the host Hubs rallied from down 12-0 in the fourth quarter in a matchup of winless teams.
