• John A. Rutkowski IV, 26, of the 500 block of Valley View Drive, St. Charles, was charged Dec. 18 with driving under the influence, transportation of alcohol in a motor vehicle and failure to signal when required.

• Ashton Animal Clinic, 47W276 Main Street Road, Elburn, reported Dec. 16 that two fake checks totaling $4,239.12 had been cashed on Nov. 18 and Nov. 25. According to the report, the checks had been reproduced and were not from the business checkbook.

• The sign on the Kaneville Community Center, 2S101 Harter Road, Kaneville, was reported damaged Dec. 18, with the toilets in the boys’ washroom stuffed with toilet paper and flooded and graffiti in one of the stalls in marker.

• Spring Bluff Nursery, 41W130 Norris Road, Blackberry Township, reported a burglary on Nov. 25. A cash register containing $170 had been taken. A second cash register had been pried open and approximately $170 in cash had been taken from it for a total loss of $340. Two pry bars were left behind, reports stated.

• Aaron J. Pack, 33, of the 6N700 block of Murray Road, St. Charles Township, was charged Dec. 15 with misdemeanor domestic battery.

• A resident of the 5N200 block of Lilac Avenue, St. Charles Township reported Dec. 15 that she sent an Asus ROG Phone 2, to a man in New York for an agreed-upon price of $750, but he agreed to pay $950 to include shipping. She told deputies she received no money from him, but he constantly texts her for more money. Eventually Paypal advised that the incident was considered fraud, the report stated.

• Keaontae L. Pritchett, 25, of the 14000 block of Karlov Avenue, Midlothian, was charged Dec. 17 with felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, in that deputies found a loaded handgun Jennings Model 25 in the glove compartment of his vehicle while it was parked at the Kane County Courthouse, 100 Third St., Geneva. Pritchett did not have a valid FOID card. Deputies searched his car following a confrontation between two women at the courthouse. One woman said the other woman’s boyfriend sent her threatening messages, implying a gun would be used, and identified his car in the parking lot, the report stated.
