• An outdoor Christmas decoration of Buddy from “Elf” valued at $100 was reported stolen Dec. 5 from a house in the 100 block of South Jackson Street.

• Angel A. Dubon-Portillo, 28, of the 500 block of Palace Street, Aurora, was charged Dec. 5 with driving under the influence and improper lane use.

• A $2,000 check was reported stolen Dec. 6 from the mailbox of Super Sports Automotive, 1521 Hubbard Ave., Batavia. The check was cashed and a sim card for phone was also taken from them mailbox.

• Sealcoat Solutions, 575 S. River St., Batavia, reported Dec. 3 that it had lost $5,867 due to depositing fraudulent checks over several months.

• The trailer belonging to Batavia Boy Scout Troop 12 was reported burglarized Dec. 3 at Batavia Skate Park, 411 S. River St. The trailer door and window was broken and approximately $80 in cash was stolen, the report stated.

• Jose M. Huerta-Castillo, 19, of the 1800 block of Covington Court, St. Charles, was arrested Dec. 4 on a Kane County warrant for failure to appear in court.

• Jaylen T. Lesure, 25, of the 100 block of South Commonwealth Avenue, Aurora, was charged Dec. 4 with driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08%, driving with a suspended license, improper lane use and unsafe equipment.
